Tunisian crochet for beginners
Tunisian crochet keeps an entire row of loops on the hook before a return pass closes them.
Gather and work
Use a hook long enough for the row, with a stopper or cable if needed. Chain 15, collect loops across the chain, then return by drawing through one loop first and through two repeatedly.
First project
Work ten rows of Tunisian simple stitch under the front vertical bars. Keep 15 loops on each completed forward pass.
Keep the work even
The first working loop is already an edge stitch. Skip the first vertical bar and work the far edge through both edge loops to keep the width stable.
