Chenille yarn construction
Chenille describes short pile held around a core; it is a construction rather than a single fibre.
Match the fabric to the project
Read whether the pile is cotton, polyester or another fibre. Use a hook or needle that forms a secure fabric, and test the tail and join because the pile can be damaged while unravelling.
Finish a sample first
For a stuffed toy, inspect the stretched sample for openings and secure all ends. Follow the exact cleaning band; the chenille name alone supplies no wash temperature.
