Polyester is a manufactured synthetic fibre used in smooth yarns and in plush constructions.
Match the fabric to the project
Read the construction as well as the fibre: a smooth spun strand and polyester chenille can form very different stitches. Check seams and handle attachment in a dense sample.
Finish a sample first
Use the care band’s heat limits and wash routine. Keep a sample for testing stain removal instead of applying a hot-wash or ironing rule to every polyester product.
