T-shirt yarn is a strip-style yarn, often cut from knitted jersey. Its width, stretch and composition can vary.
Match the fabric to the project
Compare thickness throughout the supply before sizing a basket or rug. A stretchier strip and a firm tape need different tension; a heavy bag benefits from a supported handle attachment.
Finish a sample first
Read the actual cotton or mixed-fibre composition and wash directions. Measure a finished swatch; the strip width is not a standard yarn-weight conversion.
