Match the fabric to the project
Test the washed feel and how the fabric hangs. A firm working strand can suit a structured piece, while a cotton or viscose partner changes the finished fabric.
Finish a sample first
Wash the sample as directed and measure after drying. Test the intended seam and neckline; a low-spring plant fabric needs a different edge from an elastic wool cuff.
